I watched Hillary's speech last night because I figure it is a good thing to know your enemy. I must say it was pretty awesome. I even cried, I couldn't believe it. I was sitting there listening to a freaking socialist and there I was getting a little teared up. I feel so dirty, but when she said that her mother was born in a time when women couldn't vote and now her daughter was able to vote for her mother for president, that was pretty powerful. That is American progress at its finest.
I guess I just don't understand why they talk about all these people that have over come the odds and lived the American dream and then in the same breath say that America is broken because people can't live the American dream. Why is it the Obamas were able to pull themselves up without help from the government, and yet they insist no one else is capable of doing the same thing?
